ScotRail are warning passengers that some disruption will be likely.

They said: "We’re currently unable to use Haymarket Platform 1 whilst we investigate possible damage caused by high winds.

"Engineers are on site now carrying out a safety check.

"This will cause some disruption to services through Haymarket. Check your journey before travel."

Edinburgh Castle and the Christmas Market are both closed due to the high winds, which prompted a yellow weather warning from the Met Office.
