A720: Delays on the Edinburgh City Bypass as police close lane near Straiton

Traffic Scotland warned of delays on the Edinburgh Bypass after emergency services closed a lane.

The westbound lane on the A720 was closed at Straiton by police due to a breakdown.

Traffic Scotland warned drivers that “traffic is slow on approach.”

A police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Wednesday, 28 April, police came across a vehicle that had broken down in the live lane of the A720 between Straiton and Lothianburn.”

The vehicle was safely removed with police assistance and the lane reopened at around 9am.
