Bus stops at Ocean Terminal shut as six month tram work diversions come into effect

Bus passengers travelling to Ocean Terminal will have to be aware of new bus stops for the next six months as the next stage of tram works get underway.

Ocean Drive will be shut to traffic until Autumn of this year for the tram work, with Lindsay Road already shut eastbound due to the work.

Temporary bus stops have been put in place, with the current Ocean Terminal bus stops closing from Saturday 14 March.

The numbers 200, 11, N7, and N11 will be diverted via Melrose Drive and use the new stops south of Ocean Terminal.

Services 22, 34, 35 and N22 will also serve the new stops south of Ocean Terminal before returning to their normal routes via North Leith Sands and Lindsay Road.

The 36 will also serve the same stop before returning to its normal route via Ocean Drive.

Due to the closure of Lindsay Road, the 10, 16, and N16 is being diverted via Melrose Drive and North Leith Sands, with temporary stops on Melrose Drive outside Asda and on Lindsay Road east of the North Leith Sands junction.

The work outside Ocean Terminal is due to last until Autumn 2020, while the work between Newhaven and Melrose Drive, including the traffic restrictions around Lindsay Road, will last until Summer 2021.
