Edinburgh Bypass closed by police after crash near Straiton

The eastbound A720 has been closed by police after a crash at the Lothianburn junction this evening.

Traffic Scotland said the eastbound carriageway was blocked, and that traffic was being diverted off the road at Lothianburn.

The traffic-monitoring group said the bypass was likely to be “closed for some time”, and urged drivers to find alternative routes.

The westbound carriageway remains open.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
