The following list provides just a glimpse of some of the roadworks in Edinburgh at the moment and in the future.

1. Edinburgh City Bypass
The A720 Old Craighall to Sheriffhall is closed to westbound traffic 8pm to 6am each night excluding Sunday 30 and Monday 31 May for carriageway resurfacing.
There is a diversion via B6415 to rejoin A720 at Sheriffhall. These roadworks are expected to be in place until July 3 this year. The A720 is also closed at eastbound on-slip between 10pm to 6am for cabinet works. The road is expected to be back to 24-hour full opening from July 1. Photo: Google Maps
2. Victoria Street
The road is closed except for cycles and blue badge holders as part of the Spaces for People scheme. Loading is permitted 6.30am to 10.30am each day.

3. M8 at Junction 3 Livingston
A major project to upgrade safety barriers protecting the supports of bridges crossing the M8 at Junction 3 Livingston.
From Sunday night to Thursday night each week until 11 June, traffic at M8 Junction 3 is restricted to a single lane in each direction between 8.30pm and 6am. A reduced speed limit is in force 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each night until Thursday June 10, the eastbound on-slip at M8 Junction 3 will also be closed from 8.30pm until 6.am.

4. Tollcross
Edinburgh City Council says it is re-designating key parts of Tollcross including Leven Street, Home Street, Brougham Street and Earl Grey Street to help pedestrians to physically distance. These measures will remain in place until further notice. Photo: Google Maps
