Travel watchdog Edinburgh Travel News announced the closure times on Twitter.

In a statement online it said the closures are due to the need to remove a tower crane at the St James site and for carriageway resurfacing at East End junction.

The Evening News previously reported that shoppers will have to wait until Spring 2021 before being able to experience the £1 billion new Edinburgh St James centre after Covid-19 postponed the planned opening in October.
