WATCH: Edinburgh Airport flight battling strong winds during Storm Boelo fails to land
Several flights at Edinburgh Airport have failed to land amid high winds brought by Storm Boelo
A number of Edinburgh-bound flights have been unable to land at Edinburgh Airport as pilots battle huge winds amid Storm Boelo.
Footage of one plane, reported to be an AirFrance flight from Paris to Edinburgh, shows the aircraft wobbling from side to side before lurching back up just before it hit the tarmac.
Several other flights, including the EasyJet flights from Bristol and Lisbon, are also understood to have been unable to land due to the weather conditions.
The Bristol flight has been diverted to Newcastle while the RyanAir flight from Tirana to Edinburgh, due to land at 1.35pm, was forced to divert to Brussels.
Edinburgh Airport warned of possible flight disruption on Sunday morning. An amber weather warning for wind is in place until 9pm.
A spokesperson said: “Strong winds continue this morning due to Storm Boelo. The conditions may impact flight schedules.
“Passengers are advised to check with their airline for the latest flight information.”
