Edinburgh has been hit by a deluge of rainwater over the last 24 hours, with more predicted to fall by expert forecasters.

Storm Ciara is currently wreaking havoc throughout the UK with flooded roads and communities cut off south of the border.

In Edinburgh, Waverley Station is currently closed after high winds forced cancellations, causing overcrowding in the Capital's central station.

With more rain set to fall on Sunday afternoon and the yellow wind warning in place for the remainder of the day, more disruption is likely.

There is a yellow weather warning in place on Monday for snow and wind, with sleet expected early in the morning in Edinburgh.
