Edinburgh has been basking in sweltering heat and bright sunshine for most of the week.
Those in the city have taken advantage of the summer surge to take a well-deserved break in the city’s green spaces.
Many flocked to Princes Street Gardens, a hotspot when the sun comes out, with tourists, locals, and nearby office workers heading down to take in a few rays when the sun does appear.
Temperatures have continued to climb throughout the week, with the mercury topping 27C on Thursday, July 10.
Although many will have been enjoying the recent summer conditions, there is a warning from the Met Office that a downpour is likely on Saturday, July 11.
However, summery conditions will return to the Capital from Sunday, July 12 onwards.
