Once again this year, Mother’s Day falls within the Eat Out Edinburgh festival – making it easy to treat the mother figures in your life to a day out that they deserve. The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant is offering a traditional afternoon tea for two, at a price for one, with freshly made sandwiches packed with seasonal fillings, fresh from the oven scones with homemade jam, and plenty of sweet treats to fill up after a visit to the National Gallery or a day out in town. If brunch is more mum’s style, start the day off with an elegant spread at Le Monde, offering 30% off breakfast and brunch from Monday to Sunday.

March holds more than one reason to celebrate – with St Patrick’s Day approaching on the 17th, line your stomachs with 20% off your food bill with Auld Hundred’s extensive all day food menu offering home cooked pub food, then wash it all down with a perfectly poured pint or two, or head to the stylish Rabble Taphouse & Grill for 25% off the main drinks menu throughout the week.

In the midst of It all, the Six Nations continues to take over the city, with Scotland playing twice throughout the month. Fuel up for game day with a hearty meal from burger bar Fat Hippo – offering an exclusive set menu for the campaign with a starter, main and a side for just £20 per person. Locals can also head to Hard Rock Café where Edinburgh residents can support the home team with a feast of legendary sharers, burgers and more with 25% off food and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as 25% off select retail items.

Taking place on 27th March, this round table dinner offers an intimate and immersive fine-dining experience, showcasing Dean Banks’ signature style of seasonal, locally sourced produce with global influences through a carefully curated tasting menu, served communally in the breathtaking surroundings of The Pompadour. This limited event is available to book now for just £65 per person, an incredible 50% off the restaurant’s tasting menu.
