With Wimbledon well underway and the school holidays upon us, tennis courts across Scotland are starting to fill up with people trying to perfect their topspin.
Serious players can pay hundreds of pounds for a sports club membership, but there are plenty of options for more casual participants to take to the court.

5. Abercorn Sports Club
Situated on the east side of Edinburgh, just off Willowbrae Road, Abercorn Sports Club have four all weather tennis courts which are open to non members on a pay and play basis.

6. Thistle Tennis Club
Thistle Tennis Club offers non-members two pay-to-play artificial clay courts in the Colinton area of Edinburgh. Floodlighting and racket hire is currently not available for non-members.

Situated near Edinburgh in Musselburgh's Lewisvale Park, Musselburgh Tennis Club has four artificial clay courts, with floodlights, available to both members and non-members.
