The Lothians hopefuls heading to West Linton next Friday for the last of four regional finals in this season's Scottish Club Handicap Championship include three Braid Hills clubs.

Braids United, Edinburgh Western and Harrison will be among the clubs hoping to earn a spot in the final, which is being staged at The Carrick at Cameron House on October 14.

Launched in 1999, the event now attracts around 20,000 club members each year, taking part in local qualifying events up and down the country, with two players from each club winning through to one of four regional finals based on the best net scores. The leading ten pairings at each regional final win a place at The Carrick.
