The Edinburgh Diving Club member has travelled to Brazil with her coach Jen Leeming and training is said to have been going well at the impressive outdoor complex.

Reid’s aim at the event will be to perform positively and push her name forward for Olympic selection as part of the Great Britain team later this year.

The GB team of 15 in Rio features the likes of Tom Daley, Rebecca Gallantree, Jack Laugher and Chris Mears.

Reid’s prelims in the 3 metre springboard event begin at 2pm (GMT) on Monday with the semi-finals and final taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
