Hibs created history at Hampden Park as they got the better of rivals Hearts in Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
Marink Reedijk’s era as Easter Road manager has lift-off after a stirring comeback to defeat the Jambos in Mount Florida for the first time. Martin Boyle and Jamie McGrath goals cancelled out Claudio Braga’s opener for Hearts, who suffered more injury woe, with Calvin Miller and Tomas Magnusson subbed.
Plenty of pundits have been casting their eye over this game, from key players, to what the game could mean longer-term. Hibs progress to December’s final against Rangers and here’s how pundits reacted to the latest Edinburgh derby.

"There have been some tough days against Hearts in recent years, but I'm absolutely delighted sitting here listening to the fans and that magical song. The manager will be delighted. They pressed well and passed the ball brilliantly. They could have had four in that first half. Hearts were the better team in the second half but, overall, across the 90 minutes, Hibs thoroughly deserved their win. I'm delighted for the manager."

"I've found that hard to believe (Hibs never beating Hearts at Hampden prior to Sunday) when you consider the fixture has been going for over 100-odd years."

11. Tom English (Sportsound)
"It was a terrific game of football. Two really driven teams, both desperate for victory. Hearts fans need to take this the right way but this is a tremendous outcome. It means there's going to be an underdog in the final. Hibs produced. They showed great spirit. I was waiting on the Hearts sucker-punch but it never came." | Getty Images
