Hearts loanee Jordan Roberts to miss rest of the season
Jordan Roberts has been ruled out for the rest of the season through injury, his loan club Motherwell have announced.
The Hearts winger moved to Fir Park in the January transfer window. Despite an inauspicious start to his Tynecastle career he thrived in the tier above, bagging three goals and an assist in eight games, including the opener in a 2-0 win over Hibs.
He sustained a knee injury in the 1-0 win over St Mirren earlier this month. ‘Well boss Graham Alexander had hoped the player would return in time for this weekend’s Scottish Cup quarter-final clash at Easter Road, but it’s now been confirmed he won’t be back in the 2020/21 campaign.
It is believed the injury isn’t a long-term one and he’ll be fit to rejoin his Hearts club-mates for training in the summer. The 27-year-old still has another year left on his contract with the Gorgie Road side.
