How to watch FC Thun vs Hearts: TV channel, live stream, team news, referee and VAR for Conference League trip

Everything you need to know about how to watch the Jambos in Switzerland

Hearts return to European action on Thursday as they travel to Switzerland to face FC Thun in the Conference League.

Manager Wouter Vrancken is tasked with putting the disappointment of the weekend behind them on the continent, after their 2-1 defeat to rivals Hibs in the Premier Sports Cup semi final. But with an ever-growing injury list, a positive result in matchday three of the competition’s league phase presents another difficult challenge. Having drawn 1-1 with Nordsjaelland in their opener, before losing 2-0 to Trabzonspor a fortnight ago, Hearts currently sit 28th in the standings.

Their midweek opponents are yet to get off the mark in the competition following successive 1-0 defeats to FC Twente and Hadjuk Split. Domestically, FC Thun currently sit ninth in the Swiss Super League and have failed to win in six of their last nine. Against a side 237th in the UEFA Coefficient Rankings, on paper, Thursday night represents the best opportunity for Hearts to gain some points on the road in Europe.

As always, the Jambos are expected to travel in their numbers to the Stockhorn Arena, however for those not making the trip, the match has been selected for television broadcast. Here’s how to watch FC Thun vs Hearts in the UEFA Conference League, as well as some other useful match information:

What have Hearts said ahead of the Conference League clash?

Despite their injury issues, manager Vrancken insists they won’t be holding back in Europe. Ahead of the Thun clash, he said: “This is what you play for, it's just a pity that you cannot go full force with everybody fit in these games. That would be the real joy. Some guys had to step in during the second half on Sunday to replace players who came off injured. Now we have to go again from the start with full belief that we can get a result, no matter who is playing or who is playing in which position.”
