Hibs are hunting for a new head coach following the departure of David Gray.
The legendary right-back has vacated his post after two full seasons at the helm, with a poor start to this Premiership season costing him his job. John Potter will take the team against Aberdeen at Easter Road this weekend before a three-week international break provides time to seek a Gray replacement.
Fans will have those close to home in mind with the likes of former managers and a shock ex-Hearts boss amongst those they could consider. There are then wildcards abroad that would bring some of the unknown, including a recent Bundesliga boss, and one with Jamestown Analytics experience. Here are 13 runners and riders to become the next Hibs head coach.

1. Karel Geraerts
Started his managerial career at Union SG, who have been transformed by Hearts investor Tony Bloom through the use of Jamestown Analytics. High-profile experience at Reims in France most recently and also Schalke 04. Traditionally set up in a 3-5-2 which suits this squad.

2. Jimmy Thelin
Been out of work since leaving Aberdeen earlier this year. Won the Scottish Cup at Pittodrie and early style of play was impressive. Things tailed off but six-year stint at Elfsborg was a game of patience. | SNS Group

3. Simo Valakari
St Johnstone boss plays a possession-based attacking style. Implementing it in Saints' relegation season brought issues but he refined and perfected it in the Championship. They now look a well-coached unit as Hibs found out in defeat at McDiarmid Park. | SNS Group

4. Jorgen Vik
Was a co-manager in Norway at Tromso before going it alone. Plays a 3-5-2 but one that keeps possession and presses with aggression. Finished third in the Norwegian top flight last season. In post though which might make things tricky if they were to pursue this. | SNS Group
