Hibs are hunting for a new head coach following the departure of David Gray.
The legendary right-back has vacated his post after two full seasons at the helm, with a poor start to this Premiership season costing him his job. John Potter will take the team against Aberdeen at Easter Road this weekend before a three-week international break provides time to seek a Gray replacement.
Fans will have those close to home in mind with the likes of former managers and a shock ex-Hearts boss amongst those they could consider. There are then wildcards abroad that would bring some of the unknown, including a recent Bundesliga boss, and one with Jamestown Analytics experience. Here are 13 runners and riders to become the next Hibs head coach.

5. Neil Lennon
Would it be bonkers? Most probably. Could it go sideways like last time? It's in the realms of possibility. Would it be fun? An absolute stick-on. Lennon's work is well known to Hibs fans after success in Leith upon getting them out the Championship and into Europe. 6. Diarmuid O'Carroll
The former St Mirren assistant has long been viewed as a future gaffer. Newcastle United entrusted him with their U21s squad and he's most recently been an assistant with well-known Czech side Sparta Prague. 7. Daniel Beichler
Work at Austrian lower league side FC Liefering earned a huge shot with RB Salzburg earlier this year. He lasted mere months as they failed to win the league and they opted for a total reset. Perhaps wrong time for him to make that jump, still only 37, but play is focused on high-intensity pressing in a fluid 4-1-3-2. | Liverpool FC via Getty Images

8. John McGlynn
....as in former Hearts manager John McGlynn? Yes, but while that's an obvious talking point, let's talk strictly football. McGlynn's teams have played some of the most lauded stuff in their rise from League One to the Premiership's top six, doing the latter with a modest budget. The former Hearts gaffer tag is the only thing that makes you question someone who'd otherwise be a shoo-in for most others in the division. | SNS Group
