Hibs are hunting for a new head coach following the departure of David Gray.
The legendary right-back has vacated his post after two full seasons at the helm, with a poor start to this Premiership season costing him his job. John Potter will take the team against Aberdeen at Easter Road this weekend before a three-week international break provides time to seek a Gray replacement.
Fans will have those close to home in mind with the likes of former managers and a shock ex-Hearts boss amongst those they could consider. There are then wildcards abroad that would bring some of the unknown, including a recent Bundesliga boss, and one with Jamestown Analytics experience. Here are 13 runners and riders to become the next Hibs head coach.

9. Marvin Bartley
Too soon perhaps for the former Hibs midfielder but he has overseen an unbeaten league start to the season at Stenhousemuir and work at Livingston last term wasn't bad either. They play a sturdy brand that would transition with the make-up of Gray's crop. | SNS Group

10. Michiel Jonckheere
A 3-0 away loss to RAAL La Louviere had the 26-year-old offering his resignation almost immediately this month. He guided Kortrijk back to the top flight at the first attempt last season but transitioning back to that level has been more difficult. 1.76 points per game average though is no mean feat. | BELGA MAG/AFP via Getty Images

11. Ryan Mason
Former Spurs midfielder left English Championship side West Brom earlier this year. Armed with experience from Tottenham and plays a style that demands fast movement of the ball.

12. Eugen Polanski
How's your ambition? Polish-German head coach has just left Borussia Moenchengladbach, less than a year after appointment at Bundesliga level, following good work in the youth ranks. Plays intense, vertical, and aggressive style focused on quick ball progression. | AFP via Getty Images
