Football Manager 2024 has been released live on Steam through early access and fans of the popular game are already sinking their teeth into the latest edition. The series is now over 30-years old and an impressive worldwide database of clubs, players and staff gives gamers the opportunity to take charge of their beloved clubs and attempt to guide them to unprecedented successes.
Just for fun, we simulated three years into the future with the new game to see how clubs across the Scottish Premiership and the rest of the world had fared. Here is how the Hibs starting XI looked in our simulation at the close of the 2026 summer transfer window:
1. GK - Payam Niazmand
Japanese stopper Daniel Schmidt is bought in 2024 to replace David Marshall and is first choice for two seasons before his contract expires and the Hibess bring in the Iranian international for £700k
2. CB - Formose Mendy
One season after moving to Lorient for £6.5m the Senegal international makes a shock £1.8m move to Easter Road and is a regular at the back from 2024/25 onwards, he now has Premier League clubs interested in signing him
3. CB - Yoann Salmier
Another recruit from France’s Ligue 1, the veteran Frenchman was a free capture from Havre in the summer of 2025 - he is transfer listed despite being a regular starter
4. CB - Liam Lindsay
The former Partick Thistle man completes the new look defence, signing on a free transfer from Preston North End in the summer of 2025 and is named vice captain one season later
