A strong Hibs side proved too strong for Aberdeen as they romped to a 6-1 win in a reserve friendly played at the Edinburgh club's East Mains training centre.

The match had been to be played at Tranent Juniors' Foresters Park but was switched and played as a closed doors game.

Hibs grabbed two more goals as McNulty and James scored in quick succession before Dean Campbell thundered in a consolation for the Dons in the last minute, his 30-yard shot crashing in off the underside of the bar, reported Aberdeen's official website.
