A ridiculous foul as Millar grabs Porteous as a corner is being taken from the left and just hauls the Hibs defender to the ground, right in front of referee Clancy who had already warned the players about pulling inside the box.

Doig’s cut-back sees shots blocked for both Magennis and Newell inside the penalty area. However, the ball goes back to Allan, who hits a perfect first-time cross to the back post for McGinn to fire underneath Alnwick.

Porteous' header from a Magennis corner appears to go right in, but Boyle, apparently in an offside position, made a move to play it as it crossed the goal-line and the linesman's flag goes up.

Allan already making an impact on things. A give-and-go sees the sub get to the byline and cross to the back post where Fraser has to do well just to clear his own crossbar.

Hibs get the second half underway.

Cadden is staying inside for the second half. He’ll be replaced by Allan.

42 min - Goal for St Mirren

It’s the visitors who take the lead.

It all comes from a Hibs attack as the home fans claim for a penalty with Magennis going down in the box. While there appears to be a bit of tugging from the defender, it did appear the midfielder slipped with no appeals from the home players. From there the ball is launched right up the other end and into the corner for Brophy to retrieve. He manages to run at Porteous before firing a low shot between the defender’s legs that Macey can’t keep out.

Hibs 0 St Mirren 1

Low cross from Boyle is narrowly missed by Cadden streaking into the six-yard box from the opposite wing. The two wide players have switched flanks with Boyle now on the right.
