Hibs 2-2 St Mirren RECAP: Late goal denies Hibs after second-half turnaround
Stick with us for all the action as it happens at Easter Road.
LIVE: Hibs v St Mirren
Best chance of the game so far, which came about after two St Mirren players tackled each other, comes as Magennis receives a throw down the right and swings in a terrific ball for Nisbet, alone in the centre of the penalty box. The striker looks to guide the shot with his instep into the corner but gets it all wrong, sending it far wide.
Boyle cuts in from the left and aims for a curler into the back post but just can’t get enough swerve on the ball.

Nisbet beats two St Mirren defenders as he tries to burst through on goal but his eventual shot is blocked away for a corner.
Shape of Hibs
Well, it’s hard to say, despite the apex location of the press area at the back of the West Stand which makes Easter Road one of the best grounds in the country, if not the best, to figure out a tactical battle.
It’s possible there’s even been an early change as Cadden is now pushed up further forward than he started the match, which looked like a back five. It now appears to be a back four with Doyle-Hayes and Newell as the sitting midfielders, Cadden on the right, Boyle on the left and Magennis supporting Nisbet.
Hibs team analysis
Hard to tell what the Hibs shape is prior to kick-off. The inclusion of Cadden in the starting XI would suggest Ross is keeping the three-at-the-back system he adopted for the Edinburgh derby last week, with Boyle partnering Nisbet in attack.
But Cadden can operate in the middle of the park or wide right, while Magennis can also operate on the wings, so a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 type of formation is also possible.
