Having previously spent a week with Leeds United, he’s now earned himself a training stint with Liverpool’s development team after Hibs granted permission.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be interested in the attacker, who has been described as “agile, quick, and skilful”.

He was included in the matchday squad with a place among the substitutes bench for the April 11 clash with Rangers at Ibrox.

Sporting director Graeme Mathie said in February: “We were able to show Ethan a clear pathway of how we might be able to move between our Under-18s to our first team – likely involving our strategic partnership with Stenhousemuir.”
