Hibs have issued an update to supporters keen to follow every kick of the ball when the new Scottish Premiership season gets under way on Saturday with the visit of Kilmarnock to Easter Road.

Here’s the latest information on watching games …

Pay-per-view option

Hibs announced over the weekend that a pay-per-view option would be available for “selected home games”.

Fans who have bought season tickets will get priority, with the Capital club confirming that the season opener on 1 August against Killie will not be available for pay-per-view fans.

The home matches against Motherwell and Aberdeen on 15 and 30 August respectively will also be unavailable as a result of the broadcast deal with Sky Sports, while Rangers’ trip to Easter Road on 2 October will also not be available.

However, the club has stressed that there will be opportunities following that match.

How can I watch the Livingston game on 8 August?

Hibs make the short trip to West Lothian as their first away day of the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season. As the game is not being broadcast live on Sky Sports, the Lions are offering the match as part of their own pay-per-view service.

Supporters can pay £20 to access the stream after registering on Livingston’s website, but Hibs fans tuning in will be able to watch the match with green-tinted commentary as one of the audio options.

Streams will work on desktop and laptop computers, Apple iPads and iPhones, most Android devices including tablets and smart TVs.

Season tickets

Supporters who purchase season tickets are guaranteed to see every home game, and the club are keen for more fans to add to the 10,500-plus who have already signed up for season tickets, stressing that that level of financial backing has “given the club the confidence to strengthen the squad through bringing in Alex Gogic, Drey Wright and Kevin Nisbet”.

Hibs’ Chief Executive Leeann Dempster said: “Season ticket income is vital to the health of Hibernian and we want to protect the value of those packages, recognising the commitment made by those who have already signed up.

“We also want to give all of our fans the chance to see the team, and we will make selected games available throughout the season. And until we get fans back into the stadium we have worked hard to ensure that the live Hibs TV coverage we offer will be as good as any offered in Scotland.”

What options do fans have while stadiums remain off limits?

Buy a season ticket – Purchasing a season ticket, which is also available on a finance plan, entitles fans to live streams of every Hibs home game as well as unfettered access to an enhanced Hibs TV service Buy a domestic subscription – Fans in the UK who choose not to buy a season ticket can sign up for live audio feeds of every Hibs game with chief commentator Cliff Pike and co-commentator, analyst and former Easter Road striker Tam McManus, plus the chance to watch playbacks of Hibs games after the event Wait for pay-per-view update – The club is still to release details of pay-per-view matches, but paying for games on a one-off may be an attractive option for some fans
