Hibs enjoyed their victory over Hearts, on and off the park at Tynecastle Park.

Martin Boyle's first-half double ensured the three points went back to Easter Road, increasing the gap between the Capital sides to 13 points.

Hibs were quick to let their rivals know that they remember something which was included in the statement from Hearts announcing the appointment of Daniel Stendel.

The Jam Tarts included a bit about the German leading Barnsley to promotion ahead of "Jack Ross's Sunderland".

Within minutes of the full-time whistle Hibs reminded the Gorgie side that Jack Ross led Hibs to victory over Daniel Stendel's side.

The tweet read: "Our new Head Coach, Jack Ross, leads Hibernian to victory over Daniel Stendel's Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle Park. Purely for context, we are 13 points ahead of our noisy neighbours."

It went down extremely well with the Hibs support with one fan declaring that those in charge of the Twitter account deserve a pay rise. Another announced it as "tweet of the year".
