Rachael Boyle joins husband in committing future to Hibs for another year
Captain delighted to pledge future to Easter Road side
Hibs Women captain Rachael Boyle has joined her husband Martin in committing her future to the Easter Road side after penning a one-year extension to her contract.
Boyle, 34, has been with Hibs Women since 2016 and has become an integral member of the squad. Her current deal was due to expire this summer, but Hibs revealed on Friday evening that she will remain in Leith for next season.
Her partner Martin also agreed a new contract with Hibs last month and the duo will continue their careers at Easter Road for at least one more campaign.

“I’m absolutely delighted to extend my stay here for another year,” said Boyle, who has won multiple pieces of silverware with Hibs. “I’ve had a lot of success here, but I’ve also had to go through some tough times along the way, but with this Club the positives always outweigh the negatives.
“After finishing last season strong, I am looking forward to getting back together with this group and building towards the aim of consistently competing at the top end of women’s football in Scotland.
“I’m excited for what could be another fascinating season wearing the green and white of Hibs!”
On the contract renewal of her captain, Head Coach Joelle Murray said: “I’m delighted that Rachael will be at the Club next season, as I value her highly as both a player and a person.
“Rachael is a huge asset for this Football Club, and she has consistently proven that year after year, and again this season since returning from a lengthy injury setback, by leading the team to a strong SWPL finish.”
