Star aiming to avoid feeling he despises at new club as Hibs transfer exit reasons shared
Defender left Easter Road for Leicester City in England
Former Hibs defender Warren O’Hora has told Leicester City fans what to expect from him following his move to the EFL League One side.
The 27-year old defender claimed he despises ‘losing games’ and ‘conceding goals’ in his first interview with his new employers. His ‘warrior’ spirit made him a fan favourite during his two years at Easter Road and he insists he’ll go to the King Power with the same mindset. O’Hora was signed on transfer deadline day in England by Foxes boss Russell Martin - who he previously worked with at MK Dons.
Despite being favourites for instant promotion back to the Championship, it’s been a shaky start for the former Rangers gaffer at the King Power with just one win in their first four league matches. O’Hora has been brought in to sure up the defence and bring his leadership qualities to the group.

O’Hora tells Leicester fans what to expect
When asked what he’ll bring to the table for Leicester, the Irishman told LCFC: “Leader comes to my head first. I want to play a certain style, but ultimately, I despise losing games and I despise conceding goals. Winning is absolutely everything to me. It’s the whole reason why I want to be in this game. I want to compete and I want to get to the highest level I possibly can.
“So I think what you can expect from me is - I’ll never give up, I’m a bit of a warrior, I’m a bit of a leader. I’ll always be trying to give my best for the team at whatever cost that may be for myself. I’ll always make myself available as much as I can and I’ll wear my heart on my sleeve.”
Hibs fans are well aware of the fight and desire the centre back possesses. During his two years in Leith he was a key part of Derby wins against Hearts, victories over Celtic and Rangers, as well as some memorable European nights. As he enters his next chapter, he was keen to thank everyone involved at Hibs.
What has O’Hora said about leaving Hibs?
He wrote on social media: “Two incredible years at Hibernian FC. I’ve loved every minute of my time at this amazing club and city. I’ve made some unbelievable memories and met so many special people along the way — from my teammates and staff to the incredible fans who made Easter Road feel like home.
“I’ll miss this place, the people and the atmosphere more than I can put into words. Edinburgh will always have a piece of my heart and my daughters. Thank you for everything, Hibs. All the very best for the season ahead! GGTTH.”
