Nitten got off to a great start with a goal from Jordan Cropley after only 90 seconds. Just before half-time, Craig Thomson outpaced the Arniston defence to increase the home side’s lead. A second-half penalty by Thomson then put Newtongrange further ahead. A terrific last ten minutes from Arniston saw Darren McLernan score before Nitten keeper James McQueen brilliantly tipped over a Danny McFadden header before denying McLernan with a superb save.

Bo’ness advanced to the third round with an easy win despite falling behind when Ryan Robertson scored. Marty Wright equalised before Ross Campbell put Bo’ness in the lead. It was three just before half time when Pedro Moutinho – in his final game for the club – netted from close range. After the interval, Will Snowdon hit the post for Bo’ness before Robertson did likewise for the visitors. Ross Philp rounded off the scoring.

Tranent’s push for the title continued with a solid win. Kirkcaldy had a goal from Sam Graham in the first half but Tranent went ahead with goals from David Flynn and Stevie Manson before having Joe Murray sent off. After the break, further goals from Ben Miller and Hamish Hunter completed Tranent’s victory.

Craig Russell gave Livingston the lead in the first minute. Easthouses equalised with an own goal before Livi had Craig Thomson sent off giving away a penalty which Gary Shearer converted. After the break, Easthouses had David Arthur sent off but they scored four goals through Lewis Russell, Ally Elliott and a double from Paul McDermott. Livi then had Kenny Govan and John Drummond both sent off for double bookings.
