It's not unusual for fans of music greats to want to snap up a piece of memorabilia.

And now die hard devotees of legendary crooner Sir Tom Jones can get their hands on a special piece of merchandise.

A 35-year-old black jacket warn by the Delilah singer onstage in the States has just been put up for sale in the Capital for £2,800.

The South Queensferry seller bought framed garment at an Edinburgh charity auction and is now looking to cash-in.

"Sir Tom Jones fantastic framed jacket with letter of authenticity from Los Angeles October 8, 1985." reads an online ad.

"I have owned this fantastic vintage jacket when it was purchased at an auction for Leukaemia and cancer unit fund in 1985.

"This is truly a one-off - buy now for all those Tom Jones fans."

The seller offers to deliver for a small cost and is looking for a quick sale - hence a reduced price tag.

A letter of authenticity to the charity fund is signed by the former manager of Sir Tom's fan club, Annie Toomaru.

It reads: "Thank you for your letter informing us of your upcoming Auction.

"We are pleased to enclose on Tom's behalf one of his stage jacket donated from his costume wardrobe.

"We hope this will be satisfactory and we wish you much success on your Auction."
