Preview: Hue and Cry, Edinburgh Queen’s Hall

Comprising Pat Kane and his brother Greg, Hue And Cry played with the likes Madonna and U2, and were, for a time in the 80s, one of the biggest bands around.

That they can still pack venues the size of the Queen’s Hall, where they visit on Sunday, suggests there’s still a lot of love for the duo.

“We’ve played so many gigs in Edinburgh over the years, from the massive Playhouse to the tiny Voodoo Rooms - and every time they’ve been the most appreciative and discriminating of audiences,” says Pat. “We’re so looking forward to connecting with our fans, and pumping our eight-piece funk orchestra at them, with lots of the tracks from new album HotWire, and plenty of classics.”
