7 must watch shows on Christmas Day 2025

It wouldn’t be December 25 without some real TV gems to enjoy after your Turkey dinner. Last year’s offering was one of the best in many a year, but while 2025 is not on the same level, it does have some major highlights.

Kelly and Matt take you through the eye-catching parts of the BBC and ITV schedule this festive period - including a comedy gem, what to expect from the soaps, and the latest animated classic your kids will love. After-all, what is Christmas without a bit of Julia Donaldson.

Listen to the full episode for the deep-dive, but Matt will be having on Call the Midwife, Amandaland and The 1% Club in his house this year. While Kelly is looking forward to the movies waiting for her on the big day and of course all of the soaps!

Plus if you need a few shows to catch-up on over that magical timeless period between Christmas and New Year’s Day, Kelly recommends the Aussie comedy Fisk on Netflix.

For those fancying something stranger, Matt recommends the weird but wonderful The Chair Company on Sky Atlantic/ HBO.
