Halloween is upon us again this year, with lots of spook-tacular events taking place in and around Edinburgh over the next week or two.
We’ve rounded up the 12 best Edinburgh Halloween events taking place this year, with events for all ages, children and adults.
There are murder mystery dinners, Halloween hunts, trick or treat trails, ghost stories, pumpkin trails and a Halloween candlelight concert featuring music from some of the most popular horror movies of all time.

5. Pumpkin Trail at the House of the Binns
Find the petrifying pumpkins hidden around the grounds of the House of the Binns to unscramble the spooky word and win a tasty treat! The trail will run on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 from 10.30am to 3pm. Fun for the whole family and you win a treat when you complete the trail. Those looking to enjoy a day out in the city this Halloween can start their day off right at the Lil’ Monsters Breakfast on Sunday October 27, taking place at the Hard Rock Cafe, George Street. Kids can enjoy entertainment from award-winning child entertainer, Tricky Ricky, while tucking into a delicious monster-themed breakfast featuring pancakes and spooky toppings such as fresh fruit, sauces, sweets, popcorn, and whipped cream. Afterwards, they’ll have the chance to decorate their very own ‘trick or treat’ bag to fill with lots of goodies.
