Edinburgh singing carer Jamie Lee Morley in national final of Homecare’s Got Talent 2025

Edinburgh's singing career Jamie Lee Morley is in the final of Homecare’s Got Talent - a national competition showcasing the amazing performance skills of UK carers.
The 36-year-old, originally from Manchester and now employed by Voyage Care, gave a breathtaking semi-finals performance of Il Divo’s version of My Way, following an earlier stripped-back audition of It Must Have Been Love, by Roxette.
Both performances left judges and audiences moved.
Now he will perform in the Grand Finale of Homecare’s Got Talent at Birmingham’s Crescent Theatre, on August 14. For tickets, from just £6.50, plus full details - CLICK HERE.
And it really will be a case of Making Your Mind Up - the panel of celebrity judges includes Bucks Fizz legends Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston, now of the THE FIZZ, along with Saffron, from Republica, EastEnders star John Partridge, The Voice UK’s Kuill, Married at First Sight’s Matt Jameson, ITV News presenter Sameena Ali-Khan and BBC Radio’s Becky Measures.
The winner will receive £1,000 in cash, an all-inclusive holiday for two, and the chance to perform with pop group THE FIZZ live on stage at Carefest 2025, a family-friendly festival honouring paid and unpaid carers with live music, games, street food, kids’ activities and more in Sheffield on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25, 2pm to 8pm - entry is free but to get online registration CLICK HERE.
Homecare’s Got Talent, now in its second year, is supported by major home care providers and all proceeds from the finale will go to the Care Workers’ Charity.

Jamie moved into a new role in May 2025, having previously cared for a woman named Margaret, who lived with dementia.
Their bond was so special, they even released a charity single together – capturing national attention with appearances on This Morning, BBC Breakfast, Sky News, and more.
“Any time I sing My Way, it’s for Margaret. She was my wee sidekick, and I was by her side until she passed in November 2024,” he said.
“This isn’t just about me—it’s for everyone in the care sector. If the people we support can see us chasing our dreams, I hope it shows them they can chase theirs too. That’s the real win.”
Homecare’s Got Talent and Carefest is the work of Dan Archer, CEO of Sheffield based award-winning home care provider Visiting Angels, who wanted a heartfelt stage to celebrate the creativity, resilience, and individuality of people working in care across the UK.

He said: “Jamie’s story is one of love, legacy, and loyalty—and that came through in every note he sang. He is the definition of why this competition exists.”
