A Grassmarket bar is bringing back all the best bits of the 80s for a totally retro party – including a VIP appearance from one of the decade’s best-known musicians, Martin Kemp.

Cold Town House will be throwing a huge themed celebration this Friday (10 January) to beat the post-Christmas and New Year blues - the same night as the pop star's Back to the 80s Night at the Liquid Rooms.

Guests can also enjoy two other exclusive cocktails which will be available on the night; the Karma Chameleon and the Hawaiian Blue cocktail.

They can pair with the special ‘taste of the 80s’ prawn cocktail pizza for just £10 available from noon until midnight on the day.

Jamie Napier, General Manager of Cold Town House, said: “We know January can be a bit dark and gloomy so we’re bringing back the most colourful decade to keep the party going.

“Put on your brightest neon outfits and we’ll provide the hair, makeup, blue cocktails, pizza and great music.

“Our VIP – one of the most famous faces of the 80s – Martin Kemp will be joining the party for a dance and to take pictures with guests. It’s not to be missed.

“If you’re wandering down the Grassmarket this week, look out for our team on rollerblades with boomboxes who will be handing out exclusive flyers and special deals.”

The 80s themed party at Cold Town House is completely free and there’s no need to book but fancy dress is encouraged. Only party people over the age of 18 are permitted.
