Baillie Gifford rolls out eco app for hundreds of staff as part of net zero goal

Baillie Gifford, the Edinburgh-based investment partnership, will work with Scottish eco-tech business Pawprint to help cut the carbon footprint of hundreds of employees.

The funds firm will trial the Pawprint For Business app before rolling it out to some 1,600 staff worldwide, giving them the tools to measure, understand and reduce their carbon footprints at home, at work and beyond.

Launched last year, the Pawprint employee engagement platform is currently used by 35 UK businesses and organisations including Abrdn, Royal London and Tesco Bank.

Lynn Dewar, chair of the staff committee at Baillie Gifford, said: “We have offered the interactive Pawprint app to colleagues to increase awareness of the decisions we make which impact our individual carbon footprint. The app will help colleagues to monitor and reduce their emissions while helping us to reduce our impact on the environment.”
