Pickerings Gin making hand sanitiser for frontline services from Edinburgh's Summerhall Distillery
In a statement on their website, the brand said that last month their available resources had changed to produce hand sanitising spray developed for frontline services such as the NHS, emergency services, schools and care homes.
While the sanitiser is not available through their online retail store or their distillery, frontline services can order sanitiser for a cost by emailing [email protected].

“This is not a marketing gimmick and we’re not in this for a quick buck. We want to do our bit to bolster the supply chain and ensure that frontline services can keep themselves and others safe at this worrying time.
“In the meantime, we would like to reassure our customers that we have ample stocks of our gin made and ready to go and will be selling from our website. In order that we can prioritise the production of the sanitiser, all deliveries (including those within the Edinburgh City Bypass) will now by shipped by Parcel Force.
“We are proud to be stepping up, like so many other of our peers in the Scottish distilling industry to make products when people need them most.”
