FORMER Lothian Green MSP Robin Harper has announced he will vote No in next year’s referendum – despite his party’s support for independence.
The ex-teacher said there were more important issues facing the country than rearranging constitutional deckchairs.
He said he would “absolutely” vote No and would be “happy” to help the anti-independence Better Together campaign. He said a “significant minority” of Greens were opposed to independence. “If I really wanted independence, I could have joined the SNP.”
