Loganair LOG321 plane forced to return to Edinburgh Airport after flight emergency

An Edinburgh flight to Southampton has been forced to do a u-turn following an in-flight emergency.

The Loganair LOG321 flight, which was flying on Monday morning, declared a Squawk 7700 while flying over Dumfries.

The flight was due to land in Southampton at 8.20am but was forced to return to Edinburgh.

Details of the declared emergency are not yet known.

Edinburgh Evening News has contacted Loganair for comment.
