HEARTS captain Danny Wilson has been issued a one-match ban by the Scottish Football Association for using foul and abusive language.

The defender was reported to the SFA disciplinary department following an incident involving several players in the tunnel area following Hearts’ 2-1 win over Aberdeen on Saturday.

Wilson was called into the referee’s room and told by fourth official Iain Brines that action could be taken against him.

The SFA today confirmed that a one-match league suspension has been applied, ruling the player out of this weekend’s Premiership match with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
