NIGERIAN full-back Juwon Oshaniwa has told the Evening News he has been issued a UK visa to allow him to join Hearts.
The player collected his passport and documents this morning in Abuja and is now preparing to fly to Edinburgh.
Hearts are eager to have Oshaniwa signed and registered ahead of the new season after he was granted a UK work permit earlier this month. The 24-year-old left-back has been stuck in his country’s capital for more than two weeks awaiting confirmation of his visa, which now appears to have arrived.
Oshaniwa said: “I already picked the passport up from the embassy and visa is issued.”
He will now prepare to head to Scotland, where he will sign a long-term contract with Hearts.
