SEO and Trends Writer
I’m an SEO and Trends writer at National World and create content for a variety of sites across the UK including Yorkshire Evening Post, Edinburgh Evening News and The News. I write a mix of national and regional content but specialise in retail, food & drink and travel. Originally from Cambridgeshire, I completed my MA in journalism at Leeds Trinity University and have spent my working career mostly covering Yorkshire-based areas including Leeds and Bradford. Prior to joining National World I was a journalist at the Telegraph and Argus, Ilkley Gazette and Keighley News where I covered a range of topics including breaking news, lifestyle and property pieces. I wrote about new restaurants opening as well as racing pigeons which were scattered across Bradford following a suspected raptor attack. The article I am most proud of is when I used an FOI request to expose how much the local NHS trust had paid out in compensation for mistakes on patients - it was a whopping £18 million in just two years! I also love to use data to tell a story and give readers access to information they might never have known. In my spare time, I love to travel - whether that is exploring a new little town in the UK or a long-haul trip to an exotic location. My favourite place I have ever visited is Rome - thanks to the culture, sights to see and the cuisine.
