The converted apartments are part of the Craighouse development, which has created 144 luxury properties

The final batch of Victorian conversion apartments at the £150m Craighouse development in Morningside have been put on the market.

A total of five properties are available inside Queen’s Craig, a red brick and yellow sandstone building located at the highest point of Craighouse on Easter Craiglockhart Hill.

Of the five remaining apartments, three have main door access and private gardens, with the elevated position on the hill offering panoramic views across the city for some residents.

Prices for the luxury properties range from £525,000 for a two-bedroom apartment with allocated parking and a shared entrance inside Queen’s Craig, to an eye-watering £825,000 for a two-bedroom duplex with a study and private parking.

Qmile have described the flats as “thoughtfully designed” with spacious living spaces and bright and airy bedrooms. Keeping parts of the original architecture and mixing this with modern elements has also been key to the Craighouse development.

All the remaining homes have been kitted out with “designer kitchens”, with appliances from Siemens and bespoke bathroom detailing from Villeroy & Boch and Hansgrohe.

Paul Curran, chief executive at Edinburgh-based Qmile Group, said: "The release of the final five conversion apartments at Queen’s Craig marks a significant milestone for Craighouse and represents the last opportunities to own a home within this exceptional historic building.

"Each apartment has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the building’s remarkable architectural heritage while delivering the high-quality specification and contemporary living spaces today’s buyers expect.

“From original period features and generous proportions of living space to private outdoor space and stunning views across Edinburgh, these homes offer something truly special.

"We would encourage anyone interested to get in touch to arrange a viewing and experience first-hand the outstanding quality of homes and exceptional lifestyle on offer at Craighouse."

The Craighouse development has created 144 luxury new-build and converted properties, including apartments, duplexes, penthouses and townhouses.

It comes as the restoration of the historic Great Hall at the New Craig building was completed earlier this year.

The building, which was first erected in 1894 and designed by Scottish architect Sydney Mitchell, was previously used as Craig House Hospital and as part of Edinburgh Napier University’s campus.

The Great Hall now serves as a communal space for New Craig residents, with 45 properties inside the New Craig building on the 52-acre Craighouse estate.
