Edinburgh armed police have arrested a man after pulling over a car on a city street.
The vehicle was stopped by firearms officers on Salamander Street in Leith at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, May 7.
A 27-year-old man was charged in connection with “various offences”. He was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, May 9.

Hide AdA Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.30pm on Wednesday, May 7, officers stopped a car on Salamander Street in Edinburgh.
“A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with various offences and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, 8 May, 2025.”
