Edinburgh hospitality group to donate to children’s hospital charity

Eight Edinburgh restaurants have launched new kids’ menus for the summer holidays in aid of a local children’s hospital charity.

Edinburgh's Badger & Co, McLarens on the Corner and Cold Town House are amongst the capital’s top family-friendly venues offering ‘little foodies’ the star treatment with an enhanced selection of tasty new meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner; as well as new activity packs and a chef’s hat to wear.

Edinburgh-based Scottish hospitality group, Signature, which owns and operates all eight venues is donating £2,000 to the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity from its new kids’ menus over the summer.

Tom Adlam, head of food for Edinburgh-based Signature Group, said: “This summer, we’re extremely proud to be supporting Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity with our new kids’ menu being launched at a range of family-friendly venues in the city.

“With a range of Edinburgh restaurants to choose from, all our ‘little foodies’ can enjoy an enhanced choice of tasty new meals, unlimited free soft drinks on draught, as well as special activity packs and a chef’s hat to wear.”

Tasty new dishes on the kids’ menu at Badger & Co this summer include steak stew, mac and cheese, and cheeseburgers. Highlights of the new kids’ menu at McLarens on the Corner include bangers and mash, and fish and chips.

Cold Town House is taking its new kids’ menu to new heights on its Castle-view rooftop terrace with child-sized portions of the most popular dishes from the adult menu, including chargrilled flat iron steak, crispy chicken caesar salad and sticky toffee pudding. Kids’ pizzas, chicken nuggets and ice cream sundaes are also up for grabs.

Louise MacLean, business development director for Signature Group, added: “When the Chancellor announced the VAT savings on kids’ meals this summer, we thought this was a great opportunity to enhance our kids’ meals and menus, whilst using the potential savings to donate to charity.

“With this in mind, we’re donating a combined grand total of £4,000 to both the Edinburgh and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.”
