Edinburgh roads: Rock face inspections see Duddingston Low Road, The Innocent Railway and some footpaths close

Maintenance work in Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park is set to begin this weekend, with temporary road closures in place until February 12.

Annual rock face inspections will get underway on Saturday, February 1 with scaling and catch fence work also being carried out above and beside Duddingston Low Road.

Duddingston Low Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from February 1 to February 12. Between 9am on February 3 and 3pm on February 7, Duddingston Low Road, including its pavement, will close to all users including cyclists and pedestrians. During this closure pedestrian access can still be taken along the High Road and Jacobs Ladder route to and from Duddingston.

The Innocent Railway multi-user path will also close daily from Tuesday, February 4 until Thursday, February 6 between 9am and 4pm. During this closure a diversionary route for cyclists will be sign posted out with the park.
