Four-year-old West Lothian boy dies in hospital following fatal Bathgate one-vehicle crash
Boy rushed to hospital in Livingston where he died a short time later
A four-year-old boy has died in hospital following a fatal one-vehicle crash in Bathgate yesterday evening.
At around 4.30pm on Friday, November 6, police received a report of a single vehicle crash involving a Black Range Rover car on Drumcross Road, between Limefield Road and Drumcross Farm, near Bathgate.
Emergency services attended and the four-year-old male passenger was taken by ambulance to St John's Hospital in Livingston, where he died a short time later.
His family has been informed. The 28-year-old male driver of the Range Rover was conveyed to the Royal infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
The road was closed to allow officers to carry out crash investigation enquiries.

Road policing officers are appealing for information following the fatal West Lothian crash.
Sergeant Dave Waddell said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the boy who died at this extremely difficult time.
"Enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash, or has any information that may assist, to contact us if they have not already done so.
“I’d also ask drivers with dash-cams, who were in the area around the time, to review their footage for any images that could assist with our investigation.”
