Hollywood Bowl opens new venue in Livingston, creating 40 jobs and offering new entertainment options this autumn.

Construction has finally begun on a new multi-million pound Hollywood Bowl venue at The Centre, Livingston, with the attraction expected to open later this autumn.

The new venue will occupy 26,500 square feet within the shopping centre and is set to create around 40 jobs when completed. Visitors can expect 22 ten pin bowling lanes, a large arcade filled with the latest Namco games, pool tables, as well as a bar and diner, adding a major new leisure attraction to one of Scotland’s busiest retail locations.

The development marks a significant milestone for The Centre, Livingston, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It also represents the shopping centre’s expansion into the leisure sector as owners LCP UK, who are apart of M Core, continue plans to transform the site into a destination where people can “shop, eat and play”.

The Centre attracts more than 15.8 million visitors every year and is home to more than 150 shops and restaurants including favourites like M&S, Flannels, H&M, Nando's and the UK’s biggest JD shop. In recent months, popular brands including Søstrene Grene, Flying Tiger, Wingstop, Starbucks and Scotland’s first ArrowHeadz store have also opened at the centre.

Simon Eatough, director at LCP UK and asset manager for The Centre, Livingston, has described the start of construction as “an incredibly proud moment”.

Mr Eatough added: “It represents a major evolution for The Centre, Livingston as we dynamically expand into the leisure market, in the year we celebrate our 50th anniversary.

“The countdown is officially on, and we look forward to welcoming visitors to experience this game-changing entertainment centre this autumn.”

Hollywood Bowl currently operates 77 centres across the UK under it’s Hollywood Bowl and Putt & Play brands, alongside 16 bowling centres in Canada. The company says the new Livingston venue will combine bowling, arcade games, food and drink all under one roof, offering another entertainment option for shoppers and families across West Lothian.
