Keir wants BAA answer

SNP MSP Colin Keir has called on BAA to set out as soon as possible whether Edinburgh or Glasgow airports would be sold.

Edinburgh Airport operator BAA has been told it must sell one of its Scottish airports before it sells Stansted near London .

The sales had been ordered following a lengthy investigation by the commission into whether BAA’s ownership of UK airports was anti-competitive.

Mr Keir, who represents Edinburgh Western said: “If Edinburgh is sold, any new owner must commit to the city, [and] to the regeneration of western Edinburgh.”
