It looks like a Modern Studies class being allowed to have a news channel for the day. Remember that short-lived sitcom A Perfect State, starring Gwen Taylor? I watched it in 1997 thinking that it was dated. It has all come true. GB news is like that.

It's had a few technical glitches, but that will be sorted out. Nice to see a different take from the usual mainstream news programmes. Interesting to see it's being attacked already by the established news groups - actually a good sign, it's got them worried. If the viewing figures increase, they'll really be worried.

Was looking forward to this new news channel but very disappointed with the content and presentation. Plus the sets look very cheap and amateur. like Andrew Neil and his approach of interviewing, but unfortunately his presenters lack his integrity and fall short of his positive style of debate and interviewing.

Why are folk so scared of a centre right news agenda? I quite enjoy as a centre left person watching news from different perspectives. My favourite by far is Channel 4 News. I've watched a little of GB News. It's production qualities are pretty average and some of the presenters are wooden. I'd expect it to get better. However, there's not much audience for it to go after. Even SKY News averages under 100,000 most times. Those getting all hot and bothered about the launch of a news channel really do need to get a grip.
